A powerful corporation known as Shrina is slowly draining the life from the planet and using it as a power source. This power source is known as Mako energy, which is used in many ways, from powering cities, being infused into the members of SOLDIER and also to create a substance known as Materia, which grants the wisdom of the Ancients to the user.

However, it appears that Shinra isn’t the only threat to earth, but rather a soldier known as Sephiroth who was thought to be long dead who threatens the entire existence of earth.

You take on the role of Cloud Strife, an ex-soldier from Shinra who joins a rebel group known as Avalanche as a mercenary to fight against the Shinra corporation and stop them from draining the planet’s life source. On His journey, he meets more companions, some with the same cause as his, some just on the adventure for money or fame.

Main Character, Cloud 

Cloud is the main character in Final Fantasy VII. Originally a member of SOLDIER, he is now a mercenary who will take any job. After being hired by AVALANCHE, he gradually gets caught up in a massive struggle for the life of the planet. He later finds out that he is a jenova cell clone of the original Cloud who died 5 years ago in the Mako reactor in his so called town Neibelheim. His sharp claws and fangs make him good at close-range fighting. His true name is not Red XIII, which was given to him by Hojo, but rather Nanaki. He is age 48, but he is still a child in his species.

He believes that someday he'll be the first man in space. With his handmade spear and knowledge of machinery, he throws himself into any attack regardless of the danger. Cloud finds Cid in Rocket City, trying to repair his rocket.
